Bonded Coating of Panoramic Glass Sunroofs

Sunroofs are attractive and popular – they are found in many vehicle models on the list of accessories. Of course, on purchase, customers expect an attractive ambience. At the same time, this ambience should not be disturbed by unpleasant squeaking noises when operating the opening and closing mechanism.

The testing phase of a new-development sunroof revealed: Tiny sand particles on the slide tracks of the sliding roof result in clearly audible squeaking noises. The solution: The lubricating varnish TC A5000 from Hillebrand Coating.

Hillebrand Coating chose PTFE-bonded coating because of its relatively low resistance. In addition, the company selected a black color scheme similar to the one present in the KTL-coated carrier element. The lubricating varnish TC A5000 meets all requirements and today is used in a wide range of models.
